I was delighted to go to Hay Festival two weeks ago for a couple of actual IN PERSON events! Having had a full year of my talks and other events cancelled, big and small, including 2020’s Hay Festival, Cheltenham and Edinburgh, it was hugely exciting to get back on a stage, even if the audience was small and safely distanced. I spoke to the brilliant Isabella Tree about her new children’s book. And I did a Royal Society event with Jim Al-khalili and Camilla Pang, talking about books including our Transcendence.
