Shortlisted!

I’m thrilled that TRANSCENDENCE: How Humans Evolved Through Fire, Language, Beauty & Time has been shortlisted for the 2020 Royal Society Science Book Prize! This is a book about the complexity of human systems, how they made us, and remade our planetary system. It was an incredibly difficult book to write because I wanted to tell a different story about us and what it means to be human. I’m proud of the result, and I hope this shortlisting gives it a wider readership and a longer life!
