Anthropocene radio series on the BBC

November 15, 2012

Update: My BBC Radio 4 programme on the Anthropocene can be heard here

London: I recently recorded a four-part radio series for BBC World Service about the Anthropocene, called The Age We Made. I spoke to lots of great scientists about the incredible changes we’re making to our planet, and how they will be recorded in the geological record for millions of years.

You can listen to the programmes here:

Hallo Gaia, super series, most interesting and also well made. One thing though, what is that haunting background music? I’m dying to hear the whole piece.
    Thank you,

Thanks John. The track is called Infra 9, and the composer is Max Richter.

Hi Gaia, I looked for Infra 9 and could not find it anywhere. Then someone on YouTube said it was Infra 5 – and it is – 5 not 9 😉 Infra 9 is a ballet, but not the actual piece of music. Thanks again, John
