We’ve been on our journey now for 3 months, one-quarter of a year. So I thought it might be a good time to take stock and look at what we’ve done in numbers. This is what it looks like:
3 = months since leaving London in December
100 = days since leaving London
79 = site posts
3 = countries (Nepal, India, Maldives)
2 = friends visited (Rachel, Jo)
4 = national parks (Bardyia, Kanha, Keoladeo, Neyyar Dam)
1 = trees climbed to escape rhino
12 = cities (Kathmandu, Varanasi, Bhopal, Agra, New Delhi, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Ahemdabad, Junagadh, Trivandrum, Male)
6 = languages (Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Divehi)
14 = transport taken (plane, rowboat, bicycle, elephant, camel, train, seaplane, speedboat, taxi, Ambassador car, auto-rickshaw, jeep, cycle-rickshaw, foot)
4 = islands
3200 = metres climbed
27 = metres dived
Er, “2 = friends visited (Rachel, Jo)”?
Surely some mistake? I believe you were also visited by a talented young journalist who is writing about the plight of developing countries in the anthropocene? Should you not credit him with your recent inspirations?
Actually, now you mention it, there were the two fake Indians who wore silly hats and left us with REALLY BAD COLDS… Perhaps you mean them? xx
