Exhausted but much better today and even managed dinner in a lovely cafe with free WiFi – fab!
Worked most of the day and then went to visit an amazing guy who at 37 has set up the One Laptop One Child project in Nepal. He showed me some of the interactive cobntent they provide and it’s great – talking animated frogs helping with multiplication of fractions and questions in the English class about whether or not cows can swim. Can they?
The whole thing was conducted in candle light as usual because of another power cut. Apparently they’re getting worse. Partly because there’s been no rain or snow to feed the hydropower. There’s a general water shortage too. But mainly because the new Maoist government is incapable of providing basic infrastructure.
